TilEm is an emulator that reproduce behavior of z80 based Texas Instrument Calculator (TI73 through TI86 including the TI81:p). As the others emulators, TilEm2 needs an official rom of course. TilEm2 is already available for GNU/Linux and Windows and Mac OS X. It features highly detailed hardware emulation. TilEm 2's hardware emulation is greatly improved - it's now at least on par with, and in some cases better than, any other emulator released to date. All of the Z80 models are supported (including both hardware revisions of the TI-81 and both revisions of the TI-82); the only part of the hardware that is not currently emulated is the TI-84 Plus USB controller. You will find a long user manual here: This program was made for YOU users. Please report bugs and feature request on the Sourceforge This version has a new and improved user interface, as well as many improvements to the hardware emulation. See the project website at for more information. Sending/receiving programs, variables, and applications: • TilEm2 uses libticalcs and provides visual feedback by printing progress and allowing cancel. • You can send single or grouped vars, flashapp, or whatever you want. • A nice receive window allow you to save programs from your calc to you computer. ****IMPORTANT PLEASE READ**** EDIT: DL Link is back up I forgot to mention an important step. After loading the os, a grayish box should appear. At the top is a menu. Click on view, then check. • There's also the possiblity to send and receive to and from the ti81. Grayscale emulation: • TilEm has had grayscale support for many years (originally an FIR filter supporting only 4 levels; later changed to an IIR filter supporting 64 levels, but with a tendency to flicker.) • TilEm 2, however, uses a completely new grayscale algorithm based on a modified FIR filter, which should work a lot better. Saving screenshots: • You can record animations (gif) or simply grab a static screenshot (png, bmp, gif output and more.). • There's a lot of setting as size (at least 3 default size per model plus custom size), foreground/background color, animation speed. • And of course a preview window to see before saving what you have done. A full featured debugger for assembly programming: • With memory view (could be edited), disassembly view, registers (could be edited), stack, breakpoints, step by step, and more. Macro: • It allow to record key press and execute automatically (at startup or when you load the macro file). ![]() New pack of skin and new skin format (TiEmu skin file): • You can now do a skin for TilEm2 in 15 min and you can do some funny stuff (see the documentation about skins) Extra features: • Sound support is one of the latest features added to the emulator. • Virtual linking between multiples instances of TilEm2 Links: • • • • • WabbitEmu: a must. ACCORDING TO WIKIPEDIA: Virtual TI, or 'VTI' is a feature-rich graphing calculator emulator for Microsoft Windows, written in C++ by Rusty Wagner. It features a graphical debugger, a grayscale display, data transfer between computer and emulated calculator, black-link, parallel link and more. There are currently two versions available: • Virtual TI v.2.5 (beta) • Virtual TI v.3.0 (alpha) Version 2.5 supports the TI-82, 83, 83+, 85, 86, 89, 92, and 92+. Unfortunately, it is unable to properly emulate later versions of the TI-83 Plus, TI-89 and V200 series. It is also unable to emulate the TI-83 Plus Silver Edition as well as the more recent calculators like the TI-84 Plus. Version 3.0 supports the TI-73, 83+, and the 83+ SE so far. However, it cannot retrieve the image of a TI-84+, and any file other than Apps cannot be loaded. It also doesn't allow users to save its state. Virtual TI requires a calculator ROM image. ![]() The program itself can extract ROM images from TI calculators via Serial or Parallel connection. This software has not been updated for a few years, unlike TiEmu. This software is very famous because it could emulates a lot of models but there's a lot of bugs and weaknesses. ACCORDING TO CEMETECH: jsTIfied is an online graphing calculator emulator, emulating the TI-83 Plus, TI-83 Plus Silver Edition, TI-84 Plus, and TI-84 Plus Silver Edition. It runs entirely in your browser using HTML5 and Javascript, so it requires neither Java nor Flash. For legal reasons, you must load your own ROM image, which is stored in your browser and never sent to the Cemetech server.

I wonder why apple can’t just make iTunes play flacs already Im currently using MusicBee (on Windows). But then again Windows only and on Linux i have to use something else. I tried tomahawk. Didn’t find it great. It didn’t even manage to import all the music that was in the Music folder i gave to it, as it didn’t look into every folder within the folder (and there didn’t seem to be an option to change this behavior) and i did not want to change my entire folder layout for it. That program. It also never will do anything more than it does as nobody develops it further, at this current time. Unless (you) pick it up yourself as it’s open source. So that’s something. But it seems to be c++ and i never really worked with that language. Kinda still looking for the best Music player that can ideally • Save my Music on my NAS with smb share, or anything really, just nothing redicolous • Sync playlists between all computers running that player from the same NAS again • Ability to create local copies of the entire library without breaking playlists and not doing stupid things when the NAS is ‘gone’. Should just hide the stuff while im not in my network, should play local files over NAS files if both are available. Should pick highest quality available copy for playback. • Play mp3 and flac at least (don’t personally use anything else, however it would be reassuring if it would basically play EVERYTHING or close to) • Work on Linux and Windows (at least) better mac too • Look pretty and don’t be overfly cluttered with features i don’t need or want • Sync my music and playlists with Android while converting flac’s to mp3’s as an option (maybe another option to locally save the mp3 conversion files to speed up the process next time at the cost of some amount of space). Also the same feature should be available when copying the NAS library to my local machine. I think to get the music player of my dreams I might have to do it myself. But im too much of a potato to do that at this current point in time. Apr 29, 2018 - How to Play FLAC Audio Files on Mac. How to format a drive for Mac and PC compatibility Posted by Ant on March 11th, 2012| 43 Comments If you have an external hard drive or USB flash drive that you’d like to use on both Macs and Windows PCs, choosing the right file system to format the drive can be confusing. Are you looking for a simple way to format your USB flash drive to FAT32? Follow and find methods on this. Download for Mac Download for PC. How do I format or convert my USB stick to FAT32 on Mac? 'Hello, I have a 64 GB USB flash. ![]() Jump straight to the section you want with these quick links: - - - If you're looking for the best external hard drive for your Mac or PC, then you've come to the right place. In this list, we've collected the top external drives that can easily expand your storage, and our price comparison tool can ensure you get the very best prices as well. Buying the best external hard drive for your needs is an important process for digital creatives, as it doesn't take long for creative files to start filling up the internal hard drive of your machine. You need to make sure you pick something that will reliably store your important files, while also offering plenty of space, speed and value for money. This means there are a number of considerations to make before pulling out your wallet. First, a quick recap of the basics. An external hard drive or SSD (which stands for Solid State Drive) is a device that can be easily plugged into your machine, giving you almost-instant storage space, without having to prise open your computer and make complicated upgrades. • Jump to: Not only does an HDD or SSD give you more capacity for large files, but because the devices are portable, they can be taken with you on the go and plugged into different machines – handy if you swap between PCs and Macs regularly. Also, in the event that something bad happens to your machine, your files will still be safe and accessible. Right now, we think the overall best external hard drive for Mac and PC is the Western Digital My Passport 4TB. It offers the best balance of speed, reliability, portability and price. But there are many options out there – scroll down to see our full list of recommendations, and the best external hard drive prices too. Storage considerations There are a number of things to consider when looking for an external hard drive or SSD for your Mac or PC. First, is storage. You'll want to make sure you buy an external storage device that has enough capacity for your needs – without paying for high capacities you'll never use. Around 500GB is a good sweet-spot for external storage, though you can buy smaller capacities, as well as larger ones at 1TB or greater. Hard drive vs SSD: which is best? Another consideration is whether to get an external storage device that uses a traditional hard drive, or one with an SSD. Usually, external hard drives with traditional drives are more affordable and come in larger capacities. ![]() There are external SSDs that come with large capacities – but these can be expensive. SSDs are much faster than traditional hard drives, and because they don't have any mechanical or moving parts, they're generally more robust and smaller in physical size as well. So, if you want to store huge amounts of data while keeping prices low, an external hard drive is the way to go. But if speed is your top priority – for example, if you move a lot of large files, or want to run programs off the drive – then choose an SSD. The right connections The connection between the external hard drive and your Mac or PC is also important. The first generation rectangular USB-A ports are slowly being superseded by the newer, smaller reversible USB-C ports. These are now found on all modern PCs, and Macs. Some high end PC and Macs, such as the new iMac and, come with USB-C ports that support Thunderbolt 3. This is the fastest external storage connection there is, and it provides very fast data transfer speeds, though Thunderbolt storage is considerably more expensive than plain old USB. Best external hard drives and SSDs for Mac and PC 01. Western Digital My Passport 4TB. WD backup software is basic This is the latest generation of the Western Digital My Passport range of external hard drives to have landed, coming in sizes from 1TB to 4TB. It features cloud storage and 256-AES encryption, along with WD's own backup software. It also offers very good data transfer speeds. ![]() Hi everyone, I really need help about that, I've just start a new job that requiered 20-20 Design, witch is only support by PC. Sep 27, 2017 Many Mac users who are attempting to download macOS High Sierra from the Mac App Store will find that a small 19 MB version of “Install macOS High Sierra.app” downloads to the /Applications folder of the target Mac, rather than the complete 5.2. There’s no getting around it: the Mac App Store is slow. If you try to avoid opening it whenever possible, you’re probably pretty annoyed when you see the update notification in the menu bar. You’ve got to open the App Store, click the “Updates” button, and wait while the application is “Checking for Updates.” It’s checking. Which it already did, because it just told you about how many updates you have. This is why you should manage your App Store purchases from the Terminal instead. A free program called (stands for “Mac App Store”) lets you quickly check for and install updates, in moments. You can also quickly search for software, and even install things that you’ve already purchased. Let’s set it up now, so you never have to see “Checking for Updates” ever again. Installing mas RELATED: We’ve shown you how to, and that’s the easiest way to get started with mas. Our advice: set up Homebrew before you get started, using. Once Homebrew is installed, head to the Terminal, which you can find in Applications > Utilities. Type brew install mas, then hit Return. In a few moments mas will be installed; you’re now ready to upgrade your software from the Mac App Store. ![]() If you’d rather not set up Homebrew, check the for build instructions. Seriously, though: just use Homebrew. It’s a lot easier, and if you like using the Terminal, chance are you’ll come across it again in the future. How Update Software Without Launching the Mac App Store The biggest use for this software, in my opinion, is installing updates. To see a list of apps that need updates, type mas outdated and hit Return. It will present a list of apps that need updating. To update everything listed, just type mas upgrade and hit return. That’s it: your upgrades are now installed. Head to the Mac App Store if you don’t believe me—it won’t find any updates for you. If you want to upgrade only one application, you can do that too. Let’s look again at the output from mas outdated: See how there’s a number before the name of the application? Copy that number, and paste it at the end of mas oudated to upgrade only that program. How to Search for and Install Software Without Launching the Mac App Store If you’re not sure whether a particular application is in the App Store or not, you can quickly search the entire store by typing mas search followed by what you’re looking for, then hitting Return. ![]() The smaller SSDs are typically 8GB, 16GB and 32GB. Some manufacturers make 30s, but they are not as common as 32s. For comfort and future expansion, I'd recommend getting an 80GB drive though. It sounds like a lot, but Intel has a fairly priced X25-M in that category for $199, currently shipped free on newegg. Oct 22, 2013 - Installing OS X 10.9 Mavericks: Our complete guide. A bootable Mavericks installer on an external hard drive or a thumb drive (USB stick). Drive, be sure to copy the installer to another drive, or at least move it out of the. This is one of the better MLC drives out there right now, and an SSD is definitely not something you want to skimp on. Personally, I'd save up and go for Intel's X25-E. You may not end up being the type that can fair with only 32GB space though. I tend to save documents on external drives and only my OS and applications would reside on the SSD. Apple distributes through the App Store. You need an internet connection, and the download will be over 5GB, so it’ll take a few minutes. For a single Mac, the installation process through the App Store works well, but if you have several Macs, it’s not efficient. That’s why I like to create a bootable installation drive. I can use the drive on each Mac I need to upgrade, saving me from the process of entering an Apple ID and password and then waiting for the download. It’s easy to create an external installation drive. It’s also handy to keep around, just in case you’re in a situation where you rather use the drive than rely on booting in. Here are a couple of different ways you can create a bootable macOS High Sierra installation drive. First, let’s cover the items you’ll need and how to get them. Then we’ll go over the two ways to make the drive itself. Macworld also has bootable-install-drive instructions for: • • • • • • • Get an external drive and maybe an adapter Just about any type of USB external drive will work: thumb drive, hard drive, or SSD. The installer software will take up over 5GB. If you want to use a thumb drive, an 8GB drive works perfectly. I used an 8GB Kingston Data Traveler G4 ($9 on ); it’s cheap and it supports USB 3.1, so it’s fast. I’ve also used a VisionTek 120GB USB 3.0 Pocket Solid State Drive ($95 on ) and older USB thumb drives that support USB 2, which is slower, but works. IDG To connect a USB device with a type-A connector to a MacBook or MacBook Pro with USB-C, you need the USB to USB-C adatper. If you have a 2015 or newer MacBook or a 2016 or newer MacBook Pro, you may need Apple’s. This will allow you to connect a storage device that uses a connector. If you have a USB-C storage device, then you don’t need to get the adapter. When creating the boot drive, the storage device is reformatted, so there’s no need to format the drive beforehand. Get the macOS High Sierra installer software You’ll find High Sierra in the App Store. It’s not available as an update, so if you run Software Update (Apple menu > About This Mac > Software Update), you won’t find it. If you launch the App Store app and look for it in the Updates section, you won’t find it.
